Test Methods / Procedures

Our system provides a fully integrated testing workflow strictly in accordance with ISO 5658-2 and IMO FTP Code Part 5. The procedure is divided into four highly automated phases:

Phase 1: System Stabilization & Baseline Setting

Radiant Panel Pre-heating: The gas-fired radiant panel is ignited and stabilized until the heat source reaches the required temperature, ensuring a uniform thermal radiation field.
Environmental Balancing: Sensors monitor background heat flux and ambient conditions in real-time. The software performs automatic zero-calibration and initializes data baselines.

Phase 2: Precision Automated Calibration

Heat Flux Verification: Utilizing the multi-hole calibration plate and the sliding heat flux meter track, the system automatically detects and records the thermal gradient.
Standard Alignment: The software compares the measured data against the standard heat flux curve to ensure 100% compliance before testing begins.

Phase 3: Combustion Test Execution

Sample Loading & Ignition: The specimen is mounted vertically. The system triggers the IMO-compliant burner for a programmed flame impact sequence.
Dynamic Monitoring:
- Operators monitor flame progression via the adjustable observation mirror and the 16MP CCD camera.
- Using the integrated foot switch, the operator records the exact time the flame reaches each distance marker. Data is synchronized instantly with the LabVIEW control interface.

Phase 4: Automatic Analysis & Reporting

Critical Parameter Calculation: The system automatically calculates ignition/extinguishment times, Flame Spread Rate, and the Critical Flux at Extinguishment (CFE, kW/m²).
Instant Report Generation: Upon completion, the software generates a comprehensive technical report including real-time curves, high-definition combustion images, and final measurement results.
