Highlights
- Standard Flame Combustion System: Equipped with an aviation-certified burner, it accurately replicates the flame characteristics of aviation fuel, with flexibly adjustable flame temperature and heat flux density.
- Fuel Supply & Pressurization Module: Features an explosion-proof kerosene storage tank and an intelligent pressurization device to ensure stable fuel delivery, preventing pressure fluctuations from interfering with test results.
- High-Precision Temperature Monitoring System: Thermocouples are used to measure water temperature before and after the process; flow meters and control valves regulate the pipeline water flow rate to a minimum of 500 lb/hr.
- Intelligent Control & Data Processing Platform: A PLC-based automatic control system achieves full automation of the entire process, including ignition, timing, and data acquisition.
- Open Modular Structure: The equipment adopts an open layout, allowing for convenient specimen installation and visual observation of the combustion process.
Control System / Software
- The system is automatically controlled by computer via matched software and acquisition card, displaying real-time curves of temperature, pressure and flow rate
- Adopt mass flow meter. It can be directly controlled by computer through acquisition card
- Pressure Sensor: Digital display pressure sensor,It supports direct computer control via acquisition card
Method
Test Methods / Procedures
Aircraft cabin seat cushion flammability test: The specimen is fixed horizontally. Under standard environmental conditions, a burner adjusted to the specified heat flux density is applied to the center of the specimen. The afterflame time, afterglow time, damage length, and combustion phenomena are recorded.
Cargo compartment liner flame penetration resistance test: The specimen is installed vertically to simulate its actual state. Under the same environmental conditions, a standard burner is applied to the center. Observations are made regarding whether flame penetration occurs, temperature changes on the back surface, and the damage condition.
